Allow MCP

Users add a connection in the Locai App. That connection is an MCP server the assistant can call (for example a wiki). You allow the host in the Admin Console under Agent, then MCP. They then turn the connection on.

  • You can sign in to the Admin Console.
  • You have the connection JSON, or a user has requested it so it appears on Requests.
  1. Open Agent, then MCP.
  2. If a user requested it, open Requests, open the request, and approve it. That allows the host. The connection stays off.
  3. On Servers, enable it. Users enter their own values in Connections and turn it on.

If each user must type their own secret, keep $API_KEY in the text you approve. Do not paste a real token.

If Servers shows Outbound MCP is off, the connection cannot reach the internet until you turn that on.

Users cannot allow a host themselves. See Connections.
