Quickstart
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- Locai OS is already installed. If it is not, install Locai OS first.
- Locai One is connected to the office network with ethernet. Guest Wi-Fi, a phone hotspot, and a VPN usually cannot reach it.
- You have a display and keyboard on Locai One, or a computer on that network.
- You have an authenticator app for the six-digit code.
Open the Admin Console
Section titled “Open the Admin Console”On Locai One. When the display shows it is ready, press Ctrl+Shift+A.
On a laptop on that network. Scan Scan to open Admin, or open http://locai-<id>.local/trust/. Install the certificate, then continue to https://locai-<id>.local/.
First setup
Section titled “First setup”- Select Get started. On Wi-Fi, select Continue. Ethernet is enough.
- Enter a username, the name that should appear, and a password. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app and enter the six-digit code. If the time on Locai One is wrong, this step waits until the time is set. Connect Locai One to the internet.
- Select a model from the catalogue if a list is shown. Write down the recovery key. It is shown only once.
On later visits, sign in with your username or email, your password, and the six-digit code from your authenticator app.
