Connections

Use Connections on the Chat side when you want the assistant to call a tool you choose. What you enter stays on Locai OS.

Prerequisites

• You are signed in to the Locai App.
• An administrator has allowed the host. If the error says the host is not allowed, they do that under Allow MCP. You cannot allow a host yourself.

Example

This block is the address of a public wiki tool. Add it as a connection after the host is allowed, then turn deepwiki on.

If a tool needs a secret that only you should enter, put $API_KEY in that block (for example "Authorization": "Bearer $API_KEY"). Enter the real value when you turn the connection on. Do not put that value in the request to the administrator.
